Bitmama is a fintech company that offers a secure platform for cryptocurrency transactions. They allow users to trade by converting their local currency to cryptocurrency. Founded by Ruth Iselema in 2017, the company initially operated as a peer-to-peer digital currency exchange  before growing to a platform where people can trade, and manage cryptocurrencies, and digital assets conveniently.

The platform is designed to be completely secure, allowing users to set their own price per coin for buying or selling. Crypto coins are held in escrow to ensure security and fast settlements. Bitmama currently operates in 12 countries, offering blockchain products that facilitate the movement of money across borders for businesses and individuals.

Backed by impact-focused investors and venture capitalists, Bitmama has successfully secured $3.6 million in funding and has established a presence across continents including Africa, North America, and Europe.

The company’s goal is to build technology that will redefine the way people do financial transactions through blockchain technology. Their mission is to leverage use of the blockchain and other frontier technologies to solve problems in society.

Bitmama aims to make cryptocurrencies more accessible and offers a user-friendly platform suitable for beginners who want to understand the complexities of the crypto world.
